Mood: Living to kitesurf :-)
18th May 2007
Kite surfing: Normans Bay, Pevensey
Wind Direction: SW
Wind Stength: 9-14kts
Surf / Sea State: Smooth
Air Temperature: 14
Sea Temperature: OK
Weather: Cloud/pt sun
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Was busy all day but made it at about 7 to catch an evening sesh with a 6pm low tide.

Funny there was no-one else out at Cooden or Penvensey...

Self-launched OK, but keeping the kite in the air was a challenge. Trimming the kite with a GK2 bar is simple, but I\'m still not sure if I\'m over or under-sheeted. I think maybe I just expect too much from the light wind performance of the kite, and such holey wind exposes lack of technique.

So I had a couple of good runs but nothing great. Lost a lot of ground down wind, then the kite crashed for the 3rd time and the lines pulled out a stopper again. Had to swim back with my deflated kite acting like a sea-anchor behind me.

Although it was technically a crap session, I still enjoyed it. Probably coz it\'s been too long.
